Dr. Jeffrey Robert Jockers earned his BS degree in 1982 from Grove City College and his DMD in 1986 from the University of Pittsburgh. Dr. Jockers joined the faculty at the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine in 1989 as a part time clinical instructor while also maintaining a private dental practice in the Pittsburgh area.
He currently serves as an associate clinical professor in the Department of Restorative Dentistry at the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine. While at the University of Pittsburgh he has served as clinical faculty in the Departments of Radiology, Diagnostic Services, Emergency Dentistry, Special Needs and Restorative Dentistry; Course Director for Dental Materials and Practice Management didactic courses; and small group facilitator for Oral Diagnosis and Treatment planning, Evidence Based Dentistry and Senior Case Presentations. He has also served as a member of the Admissions Committee.
Dr. Jockers has also represented the American Dental Association by serving as a consulting member for the ADA’s Senior Success Program and served his community by volunteering his services to the South West Chapter of the Girls Hope Organization of Pennsylvania. His interests include guiding students in an effort to provide the best possible dental treatment for their patients and educating and motivating patients to receive and maintain quality dental care.
