David R Englehart DMD

Clinical Instructor

After graduation from dental school Dr. Englehart served 4 years in the United States Navy as an active duty Dental Officer. Upon leaving active duty, Dr. Englehart served another 20 years as a Naval Reserve Officer, retiring at the rank of Commander in 2015.

In 1995, Dr. Englehart established a General Practice dental office in State College, PA. He continues to run his private practice while working part-time as a clinical instructor here at the University of Pittsburgh School Of Dental Medicine.

As a clinical instructor in the Restorative Dentistry and Comprehensive Care Department, Dr. Englehart's primary area of expertise is in digital dentistry and restorative dentistry.
