Dr. Andrew Nigra has been practiced dentistry for 27 years as a private practice owner and as a VA Medical Center staff dentist.
Dr. Nigra began teaching at the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine in 1998.
During that time, he has served in roles such as a member, faculty, course director and chair for multiple clinical, pre-clinical and didactic courses and committees.
He served as a test constructor for the National Dental Boards for eight years.
He has served as advisor for the American Student Dental Association, Christian Medical and Dental Association, Student Professionalism & Ethics Association in Dentistry, Panther Smiles Birmingham Clinic, Schweitzer Fellow Program, Biomedical Master Program, and Dental mission trips to Comayagua, Honduras.
