Paulette M. Dietz RDH BS

Paulette Dietz is a full-time instructor in the Pitt School of Dental Medicine Dental Hygiene Program.  Paulette currently serves as the Senior Clinical Supervisor and course director for Dental Hygiene Clinic 3, 4 and Advanced Clinical Dental Hygiene Practice as well as Seminar 3, 4 and Advanced Dental Hygiene Practicum. Paulette also supports and teaches in the Dental Assistant Training Program, primarily focusing on Radiation Health and Safety, where they received the 2025 Partner of Distinction Award.

Paulette is a 2022 graduate of the Pitt School of Dental Medicine Dental Hygiene Program.  After graduation, Ms. Dietz continued her education at Pitt by pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Dental Hygiene with a concentration in Education and graduated in 2023.  She is currently pursuing a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction at the University of Pittsburgh School of Education.  Paulette has 7 years of dental assisting experience in private practice and 6 years of experience as a dental specialist in the Pennsylvania Army National Guard, where she received the Army Commendation Medal and two Army Achievement Medals.

She serves on the Steering Committee for the University Dental Health Services, the Alumni Board for the School of Dental Medicine, and the Continuing Education Advisory Committee. She is also a member of the American Dental Hygienists' Association (ADHA), Pennsylvania Dental Hygienists' Association (PDHA), and the American Dental Education Association (ADEA).
