John F Buzzatto DMD MDS

Clinical Assistant Professor

Part-time orthodontic clinical faculty with emphasis on patient care supervision, American Board of Orthodontics advocacy, biomechanics, mixed dentition therapy and informed consent.

Dr. Buzzatto graduated with a degree in civil engineering from the University of Pittsburgh.  He then completed both dental school and three year orthodontic residency at the University of Pittsburgh.  Dr. Buzzatto maintains a private orthodontic practice in Allison Park and Bridgeville. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Orthodontics and is on faculty at the Temple School of Medicine.  He is also on the staff at both Allegheny General Hospital and Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh.

Dr. Buzzatto has been active with organized dentistry, especially orthodontics where he has served as President of the Western Pennsylvania Society of Orthodontists, Pennsylvania Association of Orthodontists, Great Lakes Association of Orthodontists (Indiana, Michigan, Ohio, Ontario and western Pennsylvania) and the American Association of Orthodontists. His professional Associations include: American Association of Orthodontists, World Federation of Orthodontists, College of Diplomates of the American Board of Orthodontics, Pennsylvania Association of Orthodontists, Western Pennsylvania Society of Orthodontists, American Dental Association, Pennsylvania Dental Association and Dental Society of Western Pennsylvania.
