Dr. Jamie Kaufer was born and raised in Westmoreland County, Pa., and is an alumnus of the Hempfield Area School District class of 2009. In 2013, she obtained her BS in neuroscience and BA in anthropology from the University of Pittsburgh, where she also received her DMD and Master of Public Health degree in 2017. She completed her pediatric dentistry training and Master of Science in Oral Sciences at the University of Illinois at Chicago in 2019, and became certified by the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry in 2022.
Her passion for early intervention and prevention led her to the field of pediatrics. She is committed to treating her patients with compassion and hopes to address their specific challenges when it comes to oral health. Dr. Kaufer is a member of the American Dental Association, American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the Pennsylvania Dental Association, the Dental Society of Western Pennsylvania, and the Chicago Dental Society.
When not practicing dentistry, Dr. Kaufer enjoys spending time with her husband, Tyler, and their puppy, Tato Chip, and two kitties Cookie and Puff, teaching at the University of Pittsburgh, pottery, cooking, cheering on Pittsburgh sports teams, traveling, and exploring the city of Pittsburgh.
