Dr. Debora Dias is a full-time, assistant professor in the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine Department of Periodontics and Preventive Dentistry. She joined the University in July 2023.
She earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from the State University of Maringá, Brazil, in 2016. She then completed a two-year residency in periodontics in 2018 and obtained her master of science degree in 2021 from the same institution. Currently, she is pursuing her PhD at the State University of Maringá under the supervision of Dr. Maurício G. Araújo.
Her research interests focuses on socket healing and ridge preservation techniques for both immediate and delayed implant placement, as well as clinical studies on various aspects of peri-implant diseases. She is an active member of the ITI – International Team for Implantology and the International Society of Periodontal Plastic Surgeons (ISPPS).
