Renato Silva, DMD, MS, PhD, Professor and Chair of the Department of Endodontics and Interim Associate Dean for Clinical Affairs, has been awarded a research grant from the Foundation for Endodontics to support his proposal, "Exploring the role of CCL2 in apical periodontitis". This project aims to study CCL2’s targeted effect on apical periodontitis in mice. Other Pitt Dental Medicine faculty co-investigators are Drs. Leticia Chaves de Souza and Ariadne Letra.
