Did you hear what happened?
Smile with Pride and ODISJ celebrated Pride Month with events at Pitt Dental Medicine and in the local LGBTQ+ community! On June 7, colorful cookies were decorated in the Atrium and students learned about the importance of respecting a patient's pronouns. Pride Month ended with tabling at two resource fairs—People's Pride at Wilkinsburg and Pitt's Pride on the Patio. The importance of oral health was promoted with fun trivia, oral cancer screenings and referring those who needed additional care to Pitt Dental Medicine.
