Pitt Dental Medicine Recognized by Mission of Mercy for Compassionate Care

Mission of Mercy Pittsburgh/A Call To Care (MOMPGH) recently recognized the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine for the excellence provided by faculty, staff and student volunteers during annual Mission of Mercy free dental care events in Pittsburgh.

 

The University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine was awarded the Outstanding Dental Partnership Award. This award is presented by MOMPGH to schools and organizations who have made a significant commitment to the underserved in the community, and also recognizes their contributions to the advancement of the healthcare profession.

Marnie Oakley, DMD, Pitt Dental Medicine dean, received the Compassionate Leadership Award. This award recognizes an exemplary individual who has demonstrated significant commitment and service to the underserved, and demonstrated the highest level of advancement in the delivery of healthcare services.
